After hours upon hours of trying to access the non-filters website at work, it has finally happened. So I was going to ask the founding fathers of the band, if I could become a band member. But then it occured to me that the 2nd letter in my last name was not an A.

Once upon a time there was a lovely little girl who adored The Non-Filters so. Her parents however did not approve, they tried everything to make her stop singing those captivating tunes. They bought her all a little girl could want, a fluffy bear she built herself, a top of the line make-up kit, and a shiny pink bike. The little girl loved all these things but never as much as she loved The Non-Filters. Her birthday was coming up and one night her Daddy peeked around the corner and saw the girl knelt down beside her bed with her hands folded. “Dear God,” she spoke softly, “All I want for my birthday is to meet The Non-Filters and have them play at my party.” With her head rested against her hands, she continued, “I don’t need anymore toys, I would trade them all just to hear The Non-Filters.” A moment passed, “Amen.” She whispered as she hopped into bed. After this her Father knew exactly what he had to do, so he called up the band and made arrangements for her birthday party the next Saturday. All was well, they sent out invitations to all her friends, bought her a new dress and built the largest birthday cake the town had ever seen. Everyone was so excited, for a whole week that’s all anyone at school could talk about. Saturday came and the buzz started to grow. All her friends showed up early in their newly bought attire, anxiously awaiting The Non-Filters’ arrival. It was finally time, the stage was set, they crowd was throbbing and the little girl had never been so happy. “Five, Four…” her Father began to count, “Three, Two….” the crowd so loud now, you could barely hear him, “One!” The kids scream, the curtain drops and……………no Non-Filters………….How could they possibly do this to such an innocent little girl and all her friends? “How could they break her heart in front of everyone?” she thought to herself, while a tear streamed down her cheek. “This can’t be happening.”

Surely this can’t be a true story. Would The Non-Filters really be so heartless?

Wait until Saturday and we shall see.

My name is Adolfo Pin'a. Perhaps you may recognize me as the World War II Veteran who was misquoted by Mitch McConell in the campaign advertisement for Bruce Lunsfords Valor Healthcare Clinic. In this television ad Mitch McConell twisted my words and made it seem as if I had recieved poor treatment and care from Valor Healthcare. When I found out my words had been taken out of context , I could not have been more hurt, or betrayed. But Mitch McConell is not the only person that has decieved the American public . I have also been taken advantage of by the Non Filters. They are claiming that I attended one of their shows , and that I had a good time. Nothing could be further from the truth. I did attend one of their shows, but I did NOT have a good time. The Department of Veterans Affairs is currently investigating the Non Filters claims that people who attend their shows actually enjoy themselves. This advetisement was paid for by friends of Bruce Lunsford.

My weekend was filled with rockstar quality partying; I enjoyed piggy back rides in dark, Kentucky’s State Game, Cornhole, annoying fire alarms, guitar lessons, paparazzi, cowboy hats, one air mattress, cookies, pizza, whiskey, rattle snakes, toilet seats and broken glass… And that was just Friday night!…If only the Non-Filters knew how to party this hard, they might’ve made it to the big time. They could definitely take a few lessons from the folks I roll with!

I am getting more and more worried about the economy and global meltdown.

The more things change the more they remain the same. The fundamental challenges we face today have changed little since Chaucer penned his observations on life and distilled them in a set of tales. We sit grinning like Cheshire cats, thinking we have all the answers.

We call it a success when we pollute our atmosphere shooting down our own Satellite USA 193, Market Street Credibility is our preferred accreditation and recognition from our peers and fellow consumers, we Poison our Planet for Profit. Banks have crashed before and remember – you can’t eat money.

Globalization has consequences. Everything we do has consequences, even something simple like buying firewood. The Oregon ODA advises not to obtain anything from out-of-state because of all the insects and diseases it might carry. That is just a relatively local issue. Imagine all the things that are carried around the world each day – each hour. We must protect our future, just as we should remember our past. All over the world, From the UK to the USA and the Seychelles to Egypt, still, yes, STILL, there is no REAL alternative to fossil fuels.

Are we all going to purgatory in a wheelbarrow telling each other stories to pass the time? Sometimes I wonder!

Rock legend Eric Bakers notoriously fickle temper has gotten him in trouble yet again , resulting in his arrest on Thursday for apperently smashing a paparazzi's camera on the floor at Los Angelas International Airport. Police arrested the music superstar shortly before 8:00 am. He and his manager , Scott Grider, were booked for inestigation of felony vandalism, although prosecutors will determine what additional charges they might face. Surprisingly after the incedent was over, according to witnesses at the scene, Baker was his usual friendly self , asking police officers if they would like to have his autograph, or maybe even have their picture taken with him. Baker was released from custody Thursday afternoon. Attempts to reach the gangster rapper for comment were unsucccessful.
